Executive restructuring reflects sharpened focus on Dwolla Connect, a modern API solution that streamlines payment operations for mid- to enterprise-sized businesses.
Dwolla, a leading provider of payment services, announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer to sharpen its focus on enterprise solutions. Dwolla’s President and COO Dave Glaser was named CEO, and Skyler Nesheim, previously Dwolla’s SVP of Technology, was named Chief Technology Officer. The internal restructuring reflects a calculated shift to Dwolla Connect, a modern API solution targeted at mid- to enterprise-sized businesses. Connect simplifies the process of replacing legacy payment technology with modern infrastructure and enhances payment management and reconciliation across multiple financial institutions.
“This pivotal shift in our business strategy underscores Dwolla's unwavering dedication to driving innovation within the payment industry,” said Dave Glaser, Dwolla CEO. “As we move forward with Connect, we remain committed to providing our new and existing clients with cutting-edge solutions and exemplary customer service.”
Glaser joined Dwolla as President and COO in March of 2021 and prepared Dwolla to rapidly scale by enhancing the company’s enterprise growth strategies and building world-class customer onboarding, implementation and service processes. With more than 20 years of experience in the enterprise payments space (including Visa, Mastercard, Cybersource and Worldpay), Glaser is uniquely positioned to champion the enterprise-focused Connect solution while maintaining Dwolla’s standing as an industry-leading payment services provider.
As CTO, Nesheim will oversee all of Dwolla’s product management and technology functions as they continue to build on the Connect foundation. He has more than a decade of experience with Dwolla, owning the product roadmap of world-class platforms. Under his leadership, Dwolla has released products and features named some of the most disruptive technologies in fintech. His experience and deep understanding of Dwolla’s advanced API solutions will help usher in this shift to enterprise-focused solutions, including Dwolla Connect.
Dwolla’s C-suite appointments and focus on Connect underpin its previous announcement about expanding banking network coverage and introducing new payment methods and value-added services in the coming years.
